  • Red Bull is an Austrian drinks company owned by Dietrich Mateschitz that actively promotes a large number of extreme sports. The business has an annual turnover of 3.5 billion US dollars.
  • Red Bull bought and renamed the Jaguar Formula One team in 2005 when the car company (Ford) pulled out of Grand Prix Racing.
  • Before running their own team, Red Bull heavily sponsored Sauber for ten years.
  • Red Bull has an extensive 'young driver program' that develops the careers of emerging drivers through the junior categories of motorsport. There are currently five drivers in the 'Red Bull Junior Team' which represents the highest level of this program.
