About

The Lusail International Circuit was originally built in 2004 for MotoGP and is a fast, flowing track with a 1km main straight and a series of high-speed "triple-apex" corners. It joined the F1 calendar in 2021 as a replacement race before securing a long-term spot. The track is surrounded by artificial grass to keep the desert sand at bay. It is physically punishing due to the high G-forces in the sweeping corners and the intense heat, even under the floodlights.

Roads: The Al Khor Coastal Road (Route 1A) is a massive 10-lane highway that leads directly to the circuit area.

Local Transport: From the Lusail Metro station, free shuttle buses take fans to the track gates (approx. 10-15 min ride). Public transport is usually free for ticket holders during the race weekend.

Fan Culture, Viewing & Weather

Fan Culture: A blend of Qatari hospitality and international fans. The "Fan Zones" are expansive, featuring local food, camel displays, and high-tech simulators.
