About

Spa-Francorchamps is widely regarded as the "greatest circuit in the world." Set in the Ardennes Forest, its 7km layout is the longest in F1. It features the most iconic corner in motorsport: Eau Rouge/Raidillon, a high-speed flick that compresses the cars into the ground before launching them uphill. Spa is an "old-school" masterpiece that rewards bravery and mechanical endurance.

Location

The circuit is located between the towns of Spa, Francorchamps, and Stavelot. Spa is a historic "water-cure" town famous for its thermal springs. The nearest major city is Liège, known for its waffles and industrial history.
Location fact
Because the track is so long, it can be pouring rain at the "Bus Stop" chicane while the track is bone-dry at the "Stavelot" corner.

Travel Information

Airlines: Fly into Brussels (BRU) or Charleroi (CRL).

Trains: The nearest station is Verviers-Central. From there, you must take a 45-minute bus (Line 395 or 294) to the track.

Roads: The E42 motorway is the main link. Traffic is notoriously difficult, so early arrival is essential.

Local Transport: Most fans camp or use organized "F1 Express" coach services from Brussels or Liège.

Fan Culture, Viewing & Weather

Fan Culture: Hardcore racing purists. Fans hike through the woods to find the best viewing spots. The atmosphere is rugged, damp, and deeply passionate.

Best Viewing: Pouhon (Silver 3). Watching the cars take this double-left-hander at 180mph is a physical lesson in G-forces.

Weather: "Spa Weather" is a term for a reason. Expect rain at any moment, even if the sun is shining. Pack a poncho and mud-boots.
