If you can’t get enough of Formula 1 after the excitement of the Canadian Grand Prix, how about a trip to Austria for the next round?

Tickets are still available and prices start from just £18 per person plus booking fee (for Friday practice). The Austrian Grand Prix will be held on the recently refurbished circuit now known as the Red Bull Ring. The circuit is 120 miles from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Salzburg Airport and 120 miles from Vienna International Airport Austria.

Red Bull resurgence or a one-off?

The Red Bull Racing team travel to their home Grand Prix in Austria clearly buoyed by a fabulous victory last time out in Canada. Daniel Ricciardo stole the show after passing Sergio Perez and Nico Rosberg in the closing stages to take his first ever Formula 1 victory.

With Mercedes AMG suffering double reliability problems on both of their cars in Montreal, many in the paddock have questioned whether Red Bull really are ‘back’, or could it have just been the single race of the season that Mercedes weren’t destined to win.

Sebastian Vettel summed it up nicely when he said “We now have a fast car, but not a complete package.” By that he is referring the Red Bull achilles’ heel, the Renault power unit in the back of the car. Failure after failure has dogged Red Bull’s season so far (more so Vettel than Ricciardo). If Renault can get fully on top of these problems and find a bit of horsepower from somewhere, the 2014 season could definitely see some multi team battles for victory, rather than just Rosberg and Hamilton going toe to toe each weekend.

The Austrian Grand Prix takes place between the 20th – 22nd of July 2014.
