Martin's Bio:

“Born and raised in Sydney, Australia within a family of car enthusiasts, I developed a childhood interest in Formula One and had the matchbox collection to prove it. My interest turned into fanaticism as a teenager during the nineties when, no longer constrained by bedtimes, I could watch the European races telecast live in the middle of the night.

Thanks partly to my Grandpa's stories about racing in the fifties and sixties I am enthralled by the history of motorsport and can watch footage of old Grand Prix cars for hours. I deeply admire the sport's heroes from yesteryear and from that I have grown a soft spot for Ferrari. Although the modern Scuderia is far different to the team Enzo built on passion sixty years ago, I still like to believe that a Ferrari victory is a nice throwback to the early days of the World Championship.

I feel incredibly lucky to have seen Formula One cars in action at both Monza and Spa Francorchamps, and have also enjoyed multiple trips to Melbourne for the Grand Prix at Albert Park. I look forward to watching the cars squirm through Casino Square in Monaco one day and would also be thrilled to visit Le Mans and Indianapolis.

Beyond Formula One I love science, mountain biking, any movie that makes me laugh, and have had some awesome experiences backpacking through different parts of the world.

Although I enjoy a wide range of sports I think it's hard to beat the speed and excitement of Formula One, and I've still got the matchbox collection to prove it.”
