Summary
In windy conditions Heikki Kovalainen was overall fastest on the second day of testing at Silverstone with a time 1m 20.015s with in impressive performance by Jarno Trulli who finished second just 3 tenths behind Kovalainen.
Giancarlo Fisichella continued to test new a new aero package on the Force India car featuring new engine cowl, front wing and suspension. However, his day was cut short when just before the lunch break he went into the barriers at Becketts and damages the left side of the car. He also suffered a minor injury to his hand in the incident and took no further part in the days action.
Mark Webbers Red bull suffered technical problems during the morning session resulting in him sitting out a large part of the session.
