Vettel and Hamilton’s frustrations over the radio

The official Formula 1 race videos that appear on formula1.com often give us a greater insight as to the events that take place during a Grand Prix over team radio. These events cannot always be aired live due to the heated nature of some of the exchanges.

The Hungarian GP was action filled with many of the moments revolving around Sebastian Vettel.

Heated moment #1

Sebastian pitted from the lead after a very late call from his team during a safety car period. Mark Webber stayed out and gained track position over his team mate. Eager to get on with the race, Webber clung to the back of the safety car and made a dash for it when it pulled into the pits.

For Vettel, it was a different story. Lacking concentration and knowledge of the safety car entering the pits, the German was left red faced after falling over 10 car lengths behind Webber and stating: “I f**ked the restart up, sorry!”

Heated moment #2

This time it was Lewis Hamilton lamenting his frustrations as his McLaren Mercedes failed him on the exit of turn 2. “Something’s wrong with my car, something’s wrong with my car...SH*T!”

Heated moment #3

Guess who! Yep it was Sebastian Vettel again using his new favourite word. In the closing stages of the race, Mark Webber exited the pits back in the lead leaving Vettel to exclaim: “How the f**k is Mark in front now, how is that possible?!”

Despite his anger, Sebastian Vettel was entirely to blame for his own luck as outlined in our article after the race: The rules that decided Vettel's Hungarian Grand Prix.

I just think it’s great we get to hear these well trained PR friendly super stars showing their feelings in the heat of the moment.
