Have Your Say

What do you think about Fernando Alonso finishing 1st and Felipe Massa finishing 2nd in the German Grand Prix?

Are Ferrari entitled to do this or is it a clear breach of the team order rules? Post your views below!

I think on the balance of fact - Ferrari DID give team orders that affected the outcome of the race and therefore it's a disgrace!

I don't see how Fernando Alonso can claim that just because his lap times were faster than Massa's he deserved the victory.

Winning should come from over taking as many cars as it takes to get to first place and then keeping your car there. If a car lets your through it's a shallow victory at the very best.

Fixed race result. FIA and stewards should investigate.

Does anybody remember the case when somebody was told by team radio he was almost out of fuel?? It wasn't Ferrari team, was it?

“It's a shame, not for us because this is racing, but for all the fans who came here to watch a manipulated race." The words of Ferrari's very own Fernando Alonso after the European GP - maybe he should be making an apology to the fans today?

Of course team orders happen all the time, this isn't new - but the way in which they blatently did it and then tried to deny it was awful - everyone understood exactly what Rob Smedley's radio message meant.

And I agree that just because a car is faster doesn't mean it should just be granted the place - if they want it take it by their own means and overtake!

Isn't it incredible that in a sport, you can be fined $100,000 for doing something wrong.... yet the result stands and no further action is taken at that point?!

So are they guilty or aren't they? Looks like the WMSC have to decide....

Have a look at this: http://www.lasexta.com/sextatv/deportes/la_historia_de_las_ordenes_de_equipo/293461

It's in spanish, but radio messages are in clear english. None of these were penaltied and wasn't even mentioned in media...

He is such a hypocrite for calling it a manipulated race one week and then taking a victory like that the next!

I feel that after the joke of a GP in Germany last weekend were Massa let Alonso go on to win under so called team orders. We really should be looking at the actions of Massa in more detail as for me team orders should have been responded to by Massa with two fingers and “If he his want me then tell him to come and get me”.

There's lots of good motor racing about, Motor GP, Salon Car and BBC why don't you put on some IndyCar, NASCAR? Always better than formula rubbish that lets face it is more hype than racing these days.

Basically I feel F1 is well past its sell by date. The cow has been milked dry now and it has become little more than a day out for the rich and famous. Ascot on wheels with F1 just getting as bent as horse racing was a few years ago.

Let faces it. It is insulting to the viewer in terms of there time and licence fee to watch a race that is being run by some marketing monkey in the VIP lounge sipping champagne. Taken me two years to get her in door to watch F1 and she's painting out the spare bad room this weekend rather than watch it. Think I'll help her. Better that than being LIED to.
