Launch frenzy in Valencia!

It was a big day in Valencia with 4 more teams giving us a taste of their 2011 cars at the start of pre-season testing.

Mercedes GP, Williams F1, Scuderia Toro Ross and Red Bull (see separate RB7 article) all revealed their cars to the press, before heading out onto the track for a day’s testing.

Seemingly all the teams had niggles to contend with, but today can only be classed as a shake down and system check at most. Most of the teams remained positive in their post testing comments saying the general checks had gone well.

Sebastian Vettel finished top of the times, but let’s not get carried away with looking into that, I’ll leave you to check out the magnificent launch and action photos above.

Just to let you know we are relaunching our F1 Merchandise section very soon! Take a glimpse at the teams we will be featuring in 2011 and check back soon!

I just do not understand the FIA, has years ago the drivers were told not to wear any jewellery and there is Lewis Hamilton breaking one of those rules, a bloke wearing earrings how pathetic are you sure he isnt gay no descent guy wears earrings.

Pretty much all drivers break the rule by wearing their wedding rings.

I am 23 years old and although I am not into jewellery in the slightest, I completely accept it as a sign of the times and don't see it as weird or "gay" as you put it. I had a debate with my Dad about it the other day and he said there is no way a man should wear 2 earrings - LOL - it's just a generation thing clearly.

Dear Jimmmy I am not against a man wearing bracelets, neclaces or any rings, but i guy with earring i disagree,i found this a it sissy, it is different if you are a pirate or gypsy but Lewis Hamilton isnt one of thoses. it just i remembered the rule from the FIA way back in 1991, has some drivers wearing jewellery are at risk suppose the formula 1 was engulfed in flames and the driver was not lucky to escape , it would be so hot that the jewellery would melt and stick to the skin, has Michael Schumacher recalls it happened to one formula 1 driver he always takes all his jewellery and wrist watch off before the races commences except for his wedding ring.
