* These five teams have submitted conditional entries. The FIA has invited them to lift those conditions following further discussions to be concluded not later than close of business on Friday 19 June.
Update Friday 12 2009:
The 8 teams of FOTA – Ferrari, BMW Sauber, McLaren, Renault, Brawn GP, Toyota Red Bull and Toro Rosso have released a joint statement showing unity saying that their position remains the same as before.
If their conditions are not met by the FIA, they do not intend to race in 2010. The FIA has announced they have until Friday 19th of June to agree to the regulations otherwise their entries are invalid.
Discussions will be ongoing during the week before the deadline.
So the three new teams in Formula 1 2010 will be: Team US F1, Campos Grand Prix and Manor Grand Prix.
Team US F1 haven't announced an engine supplier, but Campos and Manor will be using the stock Cosworth engine who make their return as a supplier to F1 teams in 2010.
The intention of the 3 news teams is clear. They are entering the championship to race under the new regulations and a budget cap of something like £40 million.
Of the current 10 F1 teams on the grid, only half of them haven actually been accepted to race in next years championship. These teams are Ferrari, Force India, Williams, Red Bull Racing and sister team Toro Rosso.
The other 5 teams, McLaren, Renault, Toyota, Brawn GP and BMW Sauber all have an asterisk by the name which is to say they have 1 week (Friday 19th of June) to lift their conditions of entry and just accept the regulations for next year.
Another week of waiting begins...

Well there you have - 3 news teams... but 5 current teams that are gonna have to seemingly bite their lip if they want to race in F1 in 2010 - what do you think?

I'm certain there will be some sort of compromise, but if a manufacturer wanted a way out of F1 (such as Toyota apparently) this is a very good opportunity for them to leave.
Surely McLaren and Brawn, who exist to race in F1, will come to some sort of agreement to enter next year. If they can agree to join up, I think the others can as well.
Either that or Le Mans will have some new big name entrants next year!
