  • The Hispania Racing Team (HRT) is a brand new team entering Formula One for the first time in 2010.
  • HRT was originally going to enter the 2010 World Championship as Campos Grand Prix, but the owners of Campos sold the team just three weeks before the first race.
  • José Ramón Carabante bought the team from Campos and renamed it after his company, Grupo Hispania. The idea is to attract Spanish sponsorship to the sport.
  • Adrian Campos started building his Formula One Team in 2009 with the help of Meta Image, a Spanish marketing company.
  • Campos Grand Prix was a team that had previously raced in the GP2 championship, as well as Formula Nissan. Fernando Alonso was one of the team's early drivers.
  • Adrian Campos was forced to sell the team immediately before the start of the 2010 season because he did not have sufficient financial support to continue.
  • José Ramón Carabante has made the bulk of his money from Real Estate investments and owns a number of large companies.
  • Bruno Senna and Karun Chandock will be making their Grand Prix debuts with Hispania. Both have previously won races in GP2.
