Regardless of Bruno Senna's success in Formula One, his biggest challenge will be carving his own identify in the shadow of his famous uncle.

Bruno started his career rather late for a modern Grand Prix driver as he was already out of his teens when he started racing. Senna had been karting in his childhood but was banned from competition by his family when his famous uncle was killed during the San Marino Grand Prix in 1994. Senna started driving again when the family ban was lifted in 2004 and immediately proved to be capable in the British Formula Three championship. He won 5 races in the series before moving into GP2 where he challenged hard for the 2008 championship.

Bruno had a quiet year in 2009, racing only in the Le Mans series, but has been signed by the Hispania Racing Team for the 2010 F1 season. He will be hoping for a wet race to prove his worth and move into a bigger team in the years ahead, and his surname will certainly be no barrier to extra sponsorship.
