Silverstone has this morning created a brand new offer for F1 fans looking to attend the 2015 British Grand Prix. For a limited time only, Weekend tickets can now be snapped up for just £130! Since the BRDC announced a new management team, greater focus has been directed in increasing the fan attendance which has led to a review of ticket prices.

The Silverstone team is now led by Patrick Allen, who has been quick to respond to fans concerns over pricing. Silverstone announced a special offer on General Admission tickets in January 2015 slashing the price from £155 to £99 for the first 1000 customers. Such was the response with over 1000 tickets being sold in 22 minutes a decision was made to continue the offer until 5 pm.

The board have shown they are more in contact with the fan by introducing further offers such as reduced prices for children and upgrade offers from General Admission tickets to certain Grandstand.

So what for the 2016 British Grand Prix? Patrick Allen has already pledged to make the British Formula 1 GP affordable for the 2016 season. Silverstone have proven successful in the past at extending the event to four days and continue to expand the entertainment to reach a wider audience and the family. For the 2015 Grand Prix, Madness will be performing on the open stage on 2nd July 2015, creating a more festival feel to the event.

Silverstone’s calendar for 2015 looks better than ever with events covering both 2 and 4 wheels with smaller events such as the 750 Motor Club to the highlights including both the F1 Grand Prix and the British MotoGP. There’s even a run with the Wings of Life Charity!

This can only be good news for motor racing fans in help keep admission costs affordable for the future.

shouldn’t that be “Madness are performing on the open stage on 2nd July”? I’m sure those who are lucky enough to be able to get there for Thursday will enjoy the show: I, unfortunately, will still be working!

      Hi Sarah,

It all depends on how much you have to spend! The general admission tickets simply give you access to the circuit and viewing from a number of areas around the circuit. These tickets will not give you access to the Grandstands or access to the pits. Access to the pits is only permitted to the high priced packages, such as Formula One Paddock Club.
