Formula 1 is back in action as the teams descend on the test circuit of Jerez in Spain. The first test of the year takes place between Tuesday 5th and Friday 8th of February.
I found this little gem of a website, which although may not look overly snazzy, has in-depth information on each teams/drivers progress throughout the day:
It also features the times and overall order of the cars, and auto updates every 30 seconds or so. Neat!
Here are some links to photos from day 3 in Jerez. Felipe Massa finished the day top of the times with a 1:17.879:
Take a look a the Lewis Hamilton crashing out article. Check out some galleries from the 2nd day of testing:
The test started with a further 3 car launches from Caterham, Toro Rosso and Marussia. James Allen has photos and quotes from all three teams right here: http://www.jamesallenonf1.com/2013/02/caterham-toro-rosso-and-marussia-reveal-2013-cars-in-jerez/
I personally think the Marussia looks incredibly basic - and I hate the livery. It's like a curved banana! It's didn't fare that well either, read below...
Jenson Button finished the day overall fastest, despite sitting out for 5 hours whilst McLaren fixed yet another fuel pump issue. Other notable incidents included Nico Rosberg only managing 11 laps in the Mercedes after a wiring loom ended his day. And Max Chilton on his debut for Marussia suffered a suspension failure, pitching him into the barriers. No injuries! Full reports from autosport.com and BBC F1 here:
Keith F1 Fanatic Collantine is at the test and provided a nice gallery of photos from day 1, as well as BadgerGP who posted a gallery courtesy of octanephotos.co.uk:
