If you are a F1 gamer, the wait is almost over for the third instalment of the Codemasters Formula 1 series: F1 2012 is coming to a store near you! Here are the worldwide release dates:
Not just a driver and track update (as stressed every year!), F1 2012 will feature the first ever Young Driver Test mode where you’ll get your chance to impress the teams ahead of your first F1 season. It also features a Champions mode where you can take on the 6 Driver Champions currently racing in Formula 1 at various Grand Prix challenges.
Every year there is a new circuit addition and F1 2012 is no different. The Formula One circus will travel back to the United States this year for the first Grand Prix to be held in Austin, Texas. The circuit in the game has been produced from scratch, and was even finished before the real thing! Check out a lap here:
Another cool video which surfaced during the week was Gamespot’s history of F1 games. This video features or at least mentions pretty much every F1 themed game that hit the shelves or arcades around the globe over the last few decades. It’s 14 minutes long but well worth a watch if you have the time.
