The Team

In 2006 Honda became sole owner of the former BAR-Honda Team. And saw them gain their first victory and a fourth place finish in the constructors’ championship.

Although it had shown excellent pace in testing at Barcelona, testing at Bahrain hasn’t gone to plan and even though the RA107 has broken into the top ten has yet to prove claims that it is a championship-winning car.

Jenson Button

Jenson Button was on top of the world with his maiden victory at Hungarian GP and finished sixth in the drivers’ championship in 2006.

But there are those who say he lacks the spark he had and that he will not be a contender for the top this season. Meanwhile Jenson himself has claimed he’s still got what it takes and can’t wait for the first race to prove his worth.

Rubens Barrichello

Rubens Barrichello was very much out classed in 2006 by his teammate but some have said he is set to give Jenson a run for his money in 2007.

If Bahrain is anything to go by he is doing just that. Faster than his teammate by nearly eight tenths, Rubens may be a dark horse if the RA107 can cope.
