Spyker in 2007

The Team

Spyker MF1, (formerly Midland, formerly Jordan), are new kids on the block of F1.

Only since September 2006 has Spyker been an owner of its own F1 racing team - but in the remnants last season they were basically running an orange Midland.

The only thing staying from last year is the vivid orange showing its Dutch ownership. Now with Ferrari engines and an all-new chassis layout, the 2007 team have shrugged off the past and now look to the future.

Christian Albers

Christian Albers has had a bit of a rough ride in F1. Having scored no points last season with the then Midland run outfit he often found himself battling with his own team-mate and the Super Aguris in 2006. Eventually he did get the upper hand over Monteiro and earned himself a new contract when the team was taken over. Hoping for better things in 2007 we’ll have to see how Christian and the F8-VII perform in racing but as yet he hasn’t shown any true pace in test sessions.

Adrian Sutil

Adrian Sutil is another one of this year’s rookie drivers. Winning the title in the Japanese F3 in 2006 and proving himself as a test driver for the then Midland team, he has now secured himself a race drive for this season. Adrian has also been out pacing his team mate during winter testing.
