The Team
After the bitter disappointment of last seasons closely fought constructors’ championship with Renault and the loss of Michael Schumacher and Ross Brawn, what does 2007 hold for the prancing horse.
Once again at the beginning of the winter testing the new car was on top of the test sheet, only faltering at the Sakhir test, 22/02/07 - 24/02/07.
But testing at Bahrain this week, the F2007’s performance leads us to believe that this is truly a car to be reckoned with and the team should be a formidable force to fight for supremacy this season.
Felipe Massa
Felipe Massa has good relations with the team and with his win at the last race of the 2006 season has taken to the F2007 well. Out pacing his teammate in all test sessions so far, he is, with out doubt, the one to watch this season.
Kimi Raikkonen
Kimi Raikkonen’s new drive for this year has everyone on tender hooks. Having had quite a modest build up to the season and running in both the usual F2007 and a chassis with a revised aero package this week, he hasn’t really shown he is comfortable yet.
He has the ability and fire to be a title contender but as yet hasn’t been able to conquer his teammate in any test sessions so far.
Kimi’s ability to hone his skills to the F2007 package will be the make or break to his season.
